A Warrior's Valor
Hello! First off on the behalf of the staff team and members alike I’d like to formally welcome you to A Warrior's Valor, provided you’ve joined! If you haven’t fear not, this guide is specifically tailored towards our guests in hopes that one day you’ll come join our lovely community. This beginner’s guide is to help you guy’s (new members and guests alike) help establish and integrate yourselves into our community. We all know how nerve-wracking and awkward it can be to join a new site and not know anyone. Should any of your answers still go unanswered then feel free to pop into the c-box and a staff member will get to you as soon as we can!
Before you go on to do anything on the forum I first recommend you get your profile set up and looking pretty! You'll want to update and customize your avatar to anything appropriate and unoffensive to our community. Our profile sizes are 250 x 350!
Now A Warrior's Valor or otherwise known as AWV is an original semi-realistic to realistic 75-word count post-by-post freeform warriors roleplay. This means that characters here need to be realistic and fit within the laws of physics and realism. Every post typed here has a minimum of 75 words. This is to help encourage our members to give their roleplay posts/replies sustenance. Without it, topics tend to die pretty quickly. AWV is based off from the warrior series by Erin Hunter, it's purely fandom, however, you don't need to know about the books in order to join or roleplay here. We're a post-by-post site meaning roleplaying isn't acted out but rather through creative writing. If this isn't your style then, unfortunately, this isn't the right place for you, however, if this is right up your alley then I'm glad to have snagged your attention! A Warrior's Valor is a freeform roleplay and this means that we have no solid plot. Instead, plots are created and developed by our member's character's interacting with one another. The world is your oyster where your inner writer can go wild! That being said all things have to be within the limits of the sites rules and regulations. With all that said and done now, it's time to get to the more interesting parts of the site.
First thing’s first is reading our Site Rules. They help keep structure and order to A Warrior's Valor and outline the general do’s and don'ts of the site. After you’ve done that you’ll want to take a look at our Guidebook. This is where all of AWV’s site guides and general information is located. Information on the Clan's that you can join can be found here along with their histories as well as general information. Once you have completed this and you’ve decided to join our ranks you’ll want to Register. As a general reminder, AWV is a one account per person!
Before creating your character be sure you take a peek at the Used & Reserved Names to prevent a double up on one name or a mixup. Once that's done go to the Alliegances board and see what Clan is best suited for your character!
Now that you know the in’s and out’s of A Warrior's Valor you can create your very first character! The Application code is simplicity in it’s simplest form. You’ll be using this when you’re filling out your character’s information. Once you’ve completed your character’s biography it’ll remain pending until either an administrator, moderator, or application checker review it and approve of it or ask you to change whatever needs to be changed. Here at A Warrior's Valor, we like our character’s to be well rounded when it comes to personalities. This means we don’t like Mary Sues or Gary Sues (male versions of Mary Sues). So in order to prevent these kinds of characters, we have created a Trait List to help you pick Negative, Positive, and Neutral traits for your characters. Do note that you don't have to use the Trait List, but it certainly does make your life easier.
If you don’t feel like making a character from scratch and instead want a character that already has a history and relationships in the Clans then head on over to the Available Adoptable board and see what you can find! You might also want to check out the Litter Adoptions if you’re wanting a younger character.
Since your biography has been accepted this means you are now free to post freely around the forum and roleplay to your heart’s content! Head on over to the Plotters board to create or join some plots for your characters!
If you ever have any questions or concerns head on over to the Help Desk or just PM a staff member and we’ll help you to the best of our ability. Once again welcome to the site!! <33
Thanks for reading!
